WORSHIP

Connecting to God and one another through prayer and worship is a vital part of being a Christian community of faith. We offer Sunday services at 10:30 a.m with sunday school at 9:15 a.m, a Wednesday prayer and praise service at 7 p.m., and special celebrations throughout the year.

Our Sunday services include a range of music, other acts of praise, confession, thanksgiving, proclamation and dedication. Sermons are Biblical-based and seek to emphasize spiritual growth and Christian service. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Children and youth attend services, and we have children’s messages each Sunday. Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are offered between the two Sunday services.

When we return to regular worship in the Fall, to get the full flavor of the music of our church, you need to come to worship every week for at least a month. In a typical month, worship is musically led as follows:

1st Sunday – Sanctuary Choir
2nd Sunday – Gospel Choir
3rd Sunday – Jubilee Ringers and Sanctuary Choir
4th Sunday – Praise Team
5th Sunday – Special Music

Many months also include a performance by a children’s or youth music, arts or drama ministry group.

Sunday services are conducted in the Sanctuary.

When you enter the facility through the covered main entrance, a Greeter will direct you to the Sanctuary and provide any other assistance or information you might need.

Cancelled for the summer, our online Coffee Half Hour should resume in the Fall. Or, following the in-person service, please join us for conversation and refreshments in Reeve Hall, our fellowship hall. As you exit the Sanctuary, enter Reeve Hall through the set of glass double doors ahead on your right.

Dress – Although many men wear slacks and a dress shirt and some add a jacket and tie, you’ll find jeans and sweaters, too. The range of attire for women is equally wide, including dresses, pantsuits, jeans and sweaters.
